mccain and perhaps powell as veep versus hillary- hill loses.
i think gop primary fight will be mccain versus guliani.

That's a damn good question! I *might* opt for Hillary over Rudy just because I like Rudy more as a person than as a politician....
But if it came down to Hillary vs. John, I'd probably cast my first-ever vote for a Red candidate! It would be a tough choice, but I just don't think Hillary would make a good President.
Not so much because she wouldn't make good decisions and set good policies; I think she would. It's just that the political climate in the States for the foreseeable future wouldn't make Hillary a very effective POTUS, imho...

McCain is too busy trying to define the Republican party to leave it. I'd still like to see Tommy Franks run in 2008. Either party doesn't matter. I remember Eisenhower ran Republican in order to save the two-party system. I imagine that Franks could do the same by running Democrat.
