As of now, I am temporarily "freezing" The Black Hole in its current state, and beginning a process whereby some small portion of its content will be manually carried over by me to a new site/board, the details of which are still to be determined, and the rest preserved as a backup only, with limited and possibly no public web access at this time (future disposition still open to consideration, but probably not something I'm going to be prioritizing right away). In short, TBH is now shut down and the process of transition to a new site has begun. I would like to welcome everyone to stay in touch with me and the rest of your TBH friends until such time as we can open the new site which will carry forward the original intentions of the Black Hole project while leaving behind politically polarized debate, divisive incendiary trolling, and partisanship. The new site will be moderated in a manner consistent with successful communities I've managed elsewhere, and focused on the things that marked TBH at its best: futurism, science, technology, exploring the biggest and most important issues of our era as well as shaping a vision for the era to come; incubating creative endeavors worth pursuing, and generally serving as an open-ended home for everything that you and I see as good and right in this universe!
