Well its all time appropriate! A bunch of friends & I were camping and they (not I) were doing blue angels and I found it rather amusing for the first while. On an everyday basis and just letting em rip anywhere and anytime... major repulsive and disgusting. Just my two bits.

I think people should let them out silently. ok, but are we rating them on smell or noise? If smell then a silent fart is the way to go no doubt, but if noise counts, then silent will only take away from the judges scores.

But they're definitely an art form. I remember trapping my girlfriend from college under the covers and ripping one (we'd been togethe a loong time at that point) and man was it rank, it could have peeled paint

However, if -- due to a digestive 'complication' -- I'd feel a loud and potentially odourous flatulance coming on, I would instantly retreat to a private location.

I simply would die of embarrassment, were I to engage in accoustically-driven flatular activity in public, and can't honestly remember ever having done it. (Wipes sweat of forehead with relief ...).

Now, if ya'all excuse, I feel something stirring in my bowels and shall retreat to private dimensions. :shock:

Well here's a story that bothered *excuse the pun* the shit out of me.

I was at the movie with a rather obese girlfriend. She farts whenever she can and doesn't try to run to a bathroom or anything. We were in the completely packed movie theater and she did the no-sound-sneaky-ass-fucking-fart and it came my way first and I looked at her, then it wafted down through this packed theater and I watched everyone saying things to each other as it came their direction.

I was disgusted at her and told her she should have taken that one to the bathroom. It was so so so so stinky.......I felt I had to hold my breath but couldn't because it lingered for so long.

Yes- it was a conversation I had with my oldest daughter that inspired it. After a rather long, loud thunderous fart, my daughter crinbkled her nose and said "Ewwwwwww!". I proclaimed that since I am a father I have all the rights in the world to fart when ever and where ever I wanted. We then discussed the various fart-names (bun-thunder, flatulations of the gludious maximus, etc.) after which she gave me the nickname "Count Rippingthem".
