Firstly and foremostly, allow me to greet you BH regulars - killer place you got here - sorry that it took the "h4x1ng" of IH to bring so many of us over here. It's just that IH is everyone's Veronica, and BH has always been Betty. I guess I'm that nimrod, Archie.

But I digress. I'd just like to see how many people are here at the "meeting place" because of the "housefire" that was IH. Also, I want to ask the BH regulars a few questions about this board ...

-How do I use an image in my signature? HTML? What are the limits?

-How long before this place gets brought down by complete, fuckin IDIOTS like IH was?

-Is there an equivalent to the "Control Panel" feature?

-What's a guy gotta do to get a beer 'round here?

-Why are some posts too wide for my screen, making me use the horizontal scroll bar (ugh) to read all of the brilliant shit you guys write?

HTML is mostly disabled for now (security reasons) but BBcode works fine in its place. We don't have local attachments like IH did, but you can use any free image hosting service such as PhotoBucket.com and then just put tags around the URL of the desired image.

One can never say for absolute certain, but don't worry, I'm sure the Troll Hordes will be along shortly :roll:

For the most part those functions are in the Profile link at the top of all pages. There are a bunch of things that the unmodified version of phpBB2 don't do which IH's vBulletin engine did....some of those we hope to add to the site through modifications, some we're probably better off without :roll:

Roll me a joint and I'll turn off the automatic Bar Defense Lasers, there's a draught tap somewhere behind the .805 Gatling cannon ;-)

After all, we have to keep the riff-raff out and clear of our beer supply....if lasers and a gatling can't handle it, we're screwed anyway 8)

If people insert anything that has a fixed size -- for example a link that just goes on and on and on way beyond the normal width of your screen without any spaces in it, that will force the width of the site to expand to fit.

Same thing with images. Right now I'm not aware of any means to force the site to stay a particular width no matter what; it's a comon problem with BBS engines.
