Regular ?
Decaf?
Latte?
Expresso?
Cappucino?

We're coffee addicts over here.
I used to drink almost a pot a day, but have cut way back to a cup or 2 a day.
Acid guts, no fun. :D

Weekends means expresso, 1 or 2, stuff's addictive.

Then we have Kopi Luwak coffee, $300.00 a pound, anyone ever tried it?

I try to keep it infrequent on account of keeping my blood pressure low to avoid causing a flare-up of my condition....but I do love coffee, that's for sure 8)

Coffee has been shown to cut the risk of Parkinson's disease (by half), chirrhosis (by 53 percent), and colon cancer (by 24 percent).
But, it's also been linked to higher rates of infertility and osteoporosis.

How infrequent?
Less than one a day?
A week ?
Month ?

And what about decaf ?
Would that help ?

I cannot and I will not start my day without my coffee.

Kona, Jamaican and African beans are my preference. I'm drinking some right now.....my own blend of various beans........I LOVE coffee!

Heh, probably a lot more frequent than "infrequent" would suggest. It varies a lot, recently it's been almost everyday because my sleep schedule is shot to shit and I need every bit of help I can get in the mornings....but hopefully soon it'll be back down to a few times a month.

Decaf?! Are you fucking kidding me?!

Yeah, decaf, it's not THAT bad.
Well the good stuff anyway, even though I haven't drank any in a looong time.
Used to when I was a waiter, and there's nothing else to do but sit around and drink coffee.

Speaking of, we used to swipe 10# bags of Kona from them.
I used to drive my boss home and he would swipe a bottle of booze, so I told him I want a bag of coffee or no ride home.
Superior coffee, the owns a huge kona plantation, or did, so all their better coffee was kona.
That was great stuff !

It also messes up your bodies ability to process sugars. My blood sugar was up to 142 (126 is borderline). My doc said to stop my 2 cups in am for 6 weeks and see what happens. Re-took the blood test and it was down to 112. I do miss it, but better than taking more meds. I love Community Coffee. It comes from Louisiana (made in Tejas  ). Will not drink anything else.

That's interesting, Darth... I wondered why coffee is "banned" from the Atkins diet. Thought it was quite benign, unless loaded up with cream and sugar.

Gee whiz, it seems everything is "bad" in some way or another these days.

I think I'll go have a smoke and a vodka gimlet.

I hear you. It is not even safe to breathe anymore! Actually though, it is not the coffee, but the caffeine that gets you. The worse possible combination is a regular soft drink. There you have 39g of sugar and a good dose of caffeine to screw up your bodys' ability to process the sugar. I have for the past couple of years got off the regular cokes. But on a hot day what is better than a "cold coke". Just takes your breath away!! :D

Guatemalan coffe... *drools* I've been addicted to the stuff (almost literally I think... headaches often occur if I don't have any for a few days) for the past several years, and considering I'm still in my teens... that's saying something! The guatemalan stuff is pretty expensive (not $300/lb tho!), and works especially well at LAN parties where the whole night is spent playing video games and the like (The joys of being a HS student ^.^) I'm now running my own espresso stand to in order to raise money for a trip to Spain.

I love strong coffee in the morning. Dunkin Donuts with half and half, no sugar.

In the summer, I love a half and half mixture of hazelnut and french vanilla, with 8 shots of half and half cream and 3 equals and lotsa ice. mmmmmmmmmmm. Damn, I wish it was summer, that sounds good right about now.

We pretty much drink the Costco Columbian here.
$6.99 for 5# bag, and they roast it there.
Good stuff.
They have their own pre-ground in a can, columbian too, and a real 5# can.
Not 4# like most of the other big coffee compaines sell now.
Damm rip-off artists.

Sure! phpbb2 accepts "standard" smiley packs. All I have to do is collect em together, and upload them to the server in the right directory....

Fear not, I am very much in need of a new hosting line to handle all the stuff that we'll eventually want out of TBH and still be able to keep my existing sites putting food on my table....but the plan is to have about a gajillion smilies. and definitely much higher quality than the default ones you see now.

Coffee is also great if you're an asthmatic. the caffeine and heat combine to form a bronchio-stimulator and help open the lungs.

In grad school I was drinking far too much coffee, like 2 pots a day. i went cold turkey when i had a bad case of the shakes.

I still enjoy coffee, but don't consume as often.

Lately I've been drinking more hot tea (earl grey) with a bit of milk and sugar. yummy

i've heard that but for some reason my asthma doesn't respond to stimulants much....it does respond almost instantly to marijuana though. with a vaporizer, in under 15 seconds my wheezing stops; actually smoking it isn't as easy on the lungs, but it still seems to reverse the closing up of my bronchial tubes.

MJ was often prescribed prior to Prohibition as an asthma treatment - in fact it was the leading one!

coffee has always been the ticket for me, especially when my chest is so tight the albuterol isn't working, a cup or two of strong coffee will open the lungs up and allow the medicine access.

But whatever works for you, keep it up
