zemIf you link from another hosting site this system will downsize the Avatar for you. See mine?
I use Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) to host my images. It's easy to direct link from there.
You want to be sure the original image has a square aspect though, if its larger than the 100 x 100 limit for ava's here...if not, the resizing will distort your image, as it displays on this board.

Sure -- I can do it at home myself -- when I get there too ...
I was merely hoping that someone could do it now, so I don't have to wait. ;)

zem If you don't want to link to another hosting site, you may want to try gifworks - (http://www.gifworks.com/) it's free, and can even resize animated gifs.

OMFG nutsak....that avatar is insane! :-)
I freakin' love it. I just wish I could find an animation of an AT-ST blowing up Ewoks! ;-)
I may have to cut back a little bit on the dimensions before long....maybe 85x85 or 90x90. 100x100 is a nice round number that many images scale well to, but it's really taking up a lot of space that won't get used unless EVERYONE has huge honking 100-pixel av's....

IrfanView is a neat little FREEWARE program that is tons of fun to
mess with.... use Google Search to get a free copy of the program.
EZ to use too.
Resizing is very EZ.

Yeah, I found that on IH long ago in the pictures area or something. I laugh every time I watch it. I was under the impression that your program would shrink it down, but obviously it didn't. I hope it's not too much of a drain on your system. If it is, I'll get rid of it.

What do you need to know? All you need is to drag the image from IH to your desktop, then come over here and upload the image in the bottom of your Profile form...
