Anyone want a Gmail account?

For those of you that aren't familiar with it, Gmail is Google's web mail service they're developing which has 1GB of storage space and lots of other great features plus no banner ads or popups....

Yup -- the only oddity is that it's still "beta" so they don't let you just show up and register for an account; you have to be invited by an existing user.

Also, secure HTTPS:// access is available and there's no charge for that either....it's way better than any other webmail service IMHO.

It's webmail, but you can also use any POP mail client to download your messages from Gmail and use them in whatever mail application you prefer.

If you email me at my gmail address, exit.light@gmail.com I'll send you the invite....then all you have to do is click on the link it contains, set up the account, and you're good to go!

GMAIL kicks ass! thanks a lot exit. one thing that yahoo does that i wish gmail did was create "disposable" email addresses that are linked to your account. that way, you can create all sorts of nicks on IH and annoy GBA with them. hehehe

another thing gmail could use is message receipts. those can get annoying but i know people that get important emails and never reply and never let you know they got them.

It's still a beta, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added it....
