Has anyone heard about these free iPod offers? Anyone ever gotten an iPod by doing one? I'm gonna give it a go, and if any of you are willing to give me a hand... I need 5 people to "sign up" and complete an offer. Most of 'em are free and whatnot. I'm sorta skeptical myself, but I'll give it a go for an iPod :P Click on the link below, and let me know if you do by either PMing me or replying in this thread saying that you've signed up AND completed an offer.

(EDIT) I have heard and read of many reports of people actually getting these, the only reason I'm considering trying it. Check out www.freeipodguide.com if you're interested in seeing some of the proof.

And btw, this was all written by me and not a copy/pasted shpiel from some site :P

DO NOT sign up with these things. even the best of them are borderline scams.

it's a class pyramid scheme

i think rogue meant "classic pyramid scheme".....

and i'd have to agree. it's not worth basically enslaving yourself and whoring yourself, annoying other people to get hooked into the same system....

plus, only like 1 in 40 to 1 in 60 even GET the item they're offering. Most people quit after they've already given away their personal information and recruited one or two other people, having realized how lame it is....

My initial thoughts too, but the publicity they've received from TV stations (TechTV in particular), the fact that they're backed by eTrust (a VERY refutable online thingy), and their privacy policy that leaves no room for wierd interpretations that would end up giving away personal info to other 3rd parties.... Oh yeah, and the interviews with the guys who run it who specifically stated repeatedly that it was *NOT* a pyramid scheme... Tho they just *MIGHT* be biased :P I'm not saying I think it will work, just that it's at least worth a wee bit of a try.
