I lived in Aspen for several years, spotted HST a couple times but never had the timing or the balls to walk up and say anything :x

He's the best though! I own every book he's ever written plus I have many copies of his faxes/letters on my walls :twisted:

You need to go get a bunch of Hunter S. Thompson books and read them.

You can find some of his writings online if you look hard, but he deserves the money (they're cheap little books anyhow) and the stuff you can find on the web is hard to get into unless you're already a fan.

Then, after you've read a couple of the other books, read Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas. Preferably the original short version because it's really not THAT extraordinary of an episode in his life....the guy does stuff like that every day 8)

Of course, until you're old enough to experiment with drugs properly, some of it won't make quite the same amount of sense that it does for those of us who have "interesting" histories. But I think you could learn a thing or two anyhow. You've got the whole rest of your life to do drugs. :roll: :wink:
