Ford predicts that the remote start system will help the vehicle's exhaust catalyst heat up more quickly, thereby reducing hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 75 percent. Further, the automaker suggests that a heated steering wheel will increase dexterity in the fingers and hands and reduce the need to wear gloves while driving in the winter. Want to know more? Use those nice and toasty digits to hit the jump for the press release.

Another reason American auto makers are in the hole....
Most folks do not want eco wacko cars....another reason older models are becoming more and more popular.

Are you just making shit up as you go? Ford isn't "in the hole", they're doing better than everyone else, and last i checked did not take any of the bailout money from the government.

I do stand corrected on Ford and commend them for NOT taking the bailout...
That said no one is buying eco wacko cars and in fact want the larger gas gusslers...
I never plan to ever buy GM or Chrysler as long as they are govt controlled..
Love my V-8 modified Cougar and even more powerful now that the emission crap has been professionally removed.

You're going to stand corrected a lot more often if you keep this up.
People want affordable cars that DON'T "guzzle gas", because gas costs money, and last I heard, money is quite expensive. Only a select few idiots are more concerned with making a statement by taking off the catalytic converter or screwing with the recirculation valve.
By the way, in your zeal to prove you don't know what you're talking about, you assumed that "harmful" meant "harmful to the environment". Car emissions are also harmful to PEOPLE, but then you probably don't believe that either.
Carry on, go swim in your V-8 emissions.

Since you don't actually know what the traditional left even means, no less how it relates to modern american politics, i'll take that as a compliment.

If Liberals really were liberals then I would be inclined to agree with them.....the LEFT today are Socialists..
You are NOT that bad...just lean a little in that direction with your global warming crap...of course sadly many good folks do without seeing what is behind the curtain....

Modern American politics have little to nothing to do with this fantasy you guys have somehow created where the left is socialist and the right is full of freedom fighters. Neither of them are either of those things.
The modern right, the one that keeps winning elections, are authoritarians, expanding the military in paranoia, supporting police state policies, and regulating private behavior and personal contracts, including religious ceremonies, for no legitimate purpose. I'm guessing that word authoritarian doesn't mean as much to you as Communist or Socialist, but most Communist regimes in history have also been authoritarians, and the modern American right is no different despite claiming to reject socialist policies, as if that made all the difference in the world.
The modern left is disjointed and running around bumping into things in the dark, and that is the lesser of two evils right now, i'd rather the government do nothing if the alternative is the authoritarian idiots.
