Weird, i never saw that chat link up there, exit never said anything about it when we were discussing implementing chat for the site earlier. Its a database problem i can fix easily though i think.

Hi TTD, this is what Ono means for Image verification, it looks to be the registration image library is missing, or the command to recognize the verification image library is missing.
New people cannot join the forum if they cannot see the image verification in registration.

Ok ill look into that on the server itself and on Vbbs documentation but i dont have admin access to the interface here itself and exit isnt around right now.

Its likely to be a php module that needs to be installed, like imagemagick or something.

it was php-gd, it should work now.

I'll try to figure out what mysql user the chat thing is trying to use, i already created the database it expected to find but its using a username i don't know and i can't change anything in the Vbb interface, perhaps i can find the entry in the Vbb database itself.

I believe i fixed chat as well, but i haven't even seen it before so perhaps someone can test it and make sure its working right.

He has been absolutely vital to transitioning onto the new server, and though I was aware of the problem with the "gd" library, I had forgotten how I fixed it last time.....

There still could be a problem with the registration, it could be the confirmations E-mails to activate accounts are not being sent out? I did a test on registration and got nothing..! :whoknows:

I will be working with EW and TTD soon to install lots more Arcade games and also to update the IBProArcade engine.

We are going to try to get lots of cool new stuff installed here and on the main http://xerces.com/ web site so that after our next big growth burst in community size when we do our next round of asking for support and help, people will see the kinds of things that their support will let us do even more of!

Right now our biggest desire is to earn enough donations from the community so that we can re-subscribe to the vBulletin Updates service and get TBH running on the very latest version of vB 3.7. The longer we stay on this old 3.6.8 version the more risk we have for being hacked or being used to conduct cross-site-scripting (XSS) attacks which could drive people away from the site!

Great work TTD and thanks so much to everyone who works on the Black Hole web site-forum. We are doing a lot of hard work behind the scenes and soon we will have many cool new things for the community to use! Not just fun toys & games, but practical things that you will find useful to help with everyday work and making your time at your computer more efficient!
