Subscriptions...?

Can someone explain them to me? I notice when I go to user CP a huge list of subscriptions. I guess every time I post in a thread I'm automatically subscribed? What good is a subscription... sorry, I don't get it.:)

It just makes it easy for members to track threads that they've posted on when more posts are added. If you're no longer interested in tracking that thread, you can click unsubscribe.

Yes, like WU said, just go to User CP - Options - scroll down a little and go to 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' - and choose 'Do Not Subscribe'.

Or - in CP each thread that's listed has 'subscribe/unsubscribe' under the title. Just click the hyperlink. Maybe Ono's suggestion is a way to unsubscribe from all threads.
